Mount Kilimanjaro

Journey to the Roof of Africa

  • Intro

This August, I am embarking on an incredible adventure—climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world at 19,341 feet. My journey along the Lemosho Route will take me through diverse ecosystems, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts, before reaching the snow-capped summit of Uhuru Peak.

Finding my Why

  • Proving I’m Strong Enough

Kilimanjaro isn’t a technical climb, but it’s still a serious endurance challenge. The altitude, the long days of trekking, and the mental game of pushing forward when your body wants to stop—this is what excites me. I want to test my limits, step outside my comfort zone, and prove to myself that I’m strong enough, both physically and mentally, to take this on.

  • Seeing the World & Experiencing Culture

Traveling has always been a way for me to learn and grow, and this trip is no different. Kilimanjaro isn’t just a mountain—it’s part of Tanzania’s rich culture and history. From the local guides and porters who make these climbs possible to the Swahili and Chagga traditions, I want to immerse myself in the experience and connect with the people who call this place home.

  • Unplugging & Finding Center

Life moves fast. Between work, responsibilities, and the constant noise of daily life, it’s easy to get caught up in the routine. This climb is an opportunity to unplug—no emails, no notifications, just me, the trail, and the mountain. It’s a rare chance to slow down, reflect, and find clarity in the simplicity of putting one foot in front of the other. No matter what happens on summit day, I know this journey will change me.
